As my Grandpa used to say, " It was a barn burner of a game!"
Last night the Pee Wee's welcomed Mitchell for another game in the playoff round.

The last time we played Mitchell was the last game in our regular season and we were victorious in that matchup so we were hoping for the same result here.
Both teams were evenly matched thru the first and second periods. No one could get a goal past either netminder in the first two periods. Zach Bowles once again, did a great job in net for us into the third.
Mitchell was first to get on the board though in the third, when the puck was deflected one way and Bowles wasn't prepared for the bad angle it took. The puck just slid under his pads. But just 2 minutes later, Hunter Gilbert would get a clear space in front of the net and scored while the Mitchell goalie was trying to get himself back in position. Four minutes later, Nolan McMillan and Ryerson Hargrave got the puck to Owen Smith for our second to go up by one. The lead was short lived as another slow moving puck got by Bowles. All tied at 2. The last 6 minutes of the game was tense for all as shots were made and saved.
Into overtime we go for 10 minutes. The full 10 minutes wasn't needed as Landon Boers passed the puck to Ryerson Hargrave and Hargrave carried it to the net with Mitchell defenders on his tail and took a shot...GOAL 39 seconds into overtime.
A great game for both teams for sure!
We are off to Hensall tomorrow for 3pm to play BCH 1.
