Pee Wee's participate in Young Canada Tournament
The Pee Wee LL team travelled to Goderich this past weekend to participate in the 69th Annual Young Canada Hockey tournament.
Friday morning our first match up was at 11:10 am vs. Dorchester. The game wasn't our best and we could get on the board only twice with goals from Nolan McMillan and Ryerson Hargrave. Assists came from Hunter Gilbert, Phil Beuerman, Aleah Brown and Jamie Donelley. Dorchester would net 5 against us.
Final score 5-2.
Our next matchup was vs. Goderich Scotiabank at 3:50 pm.
It was a tighter game this time with a 1-1 score going into the third. We couldn't hold off their offense as they scored the second of the game with time dwindling down.
Final score 2-1.
Our final game of the round robin was Saturday morning vs. Mitchell at 9am. We play Mitchell all season long so we knew what to expect in the game.
Ryerson Hargrave would put our only goal of the game on the board. Mitchell would get 1 as well and we ended with a 1-1 tie.
The tournament was based on points per period/game and we didn't have enough points to move forward into the next round on Saturday afternoon.
The kids had a good time at the tournament and enjoyed their time as a team again.
This week we start our last playoff round for the Silver division in the WOAA vs. South Bruce. Thursday night in Monkton at 6:30 pm then up to Mildmay on Friday for a 6:30 pm game. If necessary, Sunday at 3pm in Mildmay.
