CPMH Year End Awards & Awards Night

CPMHA Families. In light of Covid-19, and our collective need to stay home, there will be no awards night this year. It is disappointing to not be able to get together and celebrate the end of hockey season, and recognize our players, coaches, teams, families and volunteers that make up our association, but we think it is still very important to honour those people who are contributing to the success of Central Perth Minor Hockey.

Central Perth Minor Hockey are looking for nominations to honour deserving individuals who have worked hard for the betterment of Central Perth Minor Hockey. We are looking for nominations in the following categories (full description below): Coach (or team official) of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year. Deadline for nominations to be received by email is April 5, 2020. All nominations should be forwarded for consideration by the executive to [email protected].

Our award winners will be recognized on the website for the time being. We are hopeful that we might be able to host an awards night in the fall to kick off the 2020/21 hockey season and recognize all of our dedicated CPMHA members.

We are also looking for individuals to assist with the awards committee and review the nominations by email so that we have representation from all of our teams and age groups as these awards are chosen. Please contact Jackie McCourt at [email protected] to be a part of this committee.

Coach of the Year – Nominated by individual

Presented to: A team official who inspires their players to work hard, improve their skills, play as a team and display sportsmanship.

Youth Volunteer – Nominated by individual

Presented to: A youth who gives their time, skills and energy for the betterment of Central Perth Minor Hockey.

Volunteer – Nominated by individual

Presented to: Someone who has given generously of their time and skills for the betterment of Central Perth Minor Hockey

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association’s foremost priority is the health and safety of our participants, volunteers and hockey families. We have been proactively working alongside Health Canada, Hockey Canada and local public health officials in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of recent events, the OMHA Officers have made the decision to immediately suspend all hockey activities. We will be proactive in informing our constituents on all upcoming protocols and required actions as they become available.
