Fun times in Thorold Tournament
Over the Christmas holidays, the Pee Wee LL participated in the Thorold Henderson Tournament Dec. 27-29.

The kids were looking forward to our first team overnight tournament.
Our games were played in Thorold but the team stayed in St. Catharine's for the 2 nights away.

Our first game was on Wednesday vs. Petrolia. We lost that game 4-1. A good effort was put forth by all the team. Petrolia had one player with a hat trick so if we had just stopped that player, the score could have been tied. But on to the next game we go...
Thursday morning at 9am we played Port Colborne. This game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Thursday afternoon we played one of the home teams, Thorold at 3:30. We lost this game 6-1. We had a good first period and part of the second but then Thorold proved they were better at getting the puck where it needed to be. This put us 4th in our division with 2 losses and a tie. We would play Friday morning at 11:45 vs. the 4th place team in the other side of the Pee Wee group, Hespeler.
We would go on to win that game 2-0! It was a great way for the kids to end the tournament.

We were lucky to have 3 AP'd Atom players with us: Tim Beuerman, Bryce Brown and Bryer Hargrave. They did a great job and put a ton of effort into each game they played. Beuerman would get player of the game on Wednesday and Brown in the Thursday morning game.
Zach Bowles also did a great job in net and kept us close in each game when the going got tough!

The kids and families had a great time at the tournament and it was nice for the kids to spend time together outside of the rink.

We have a game this Wednesday in Blyth at 7:30 then off to Goderich Thursday for 7:15 pm. Hopefully the weather cooperates with us!
Happy New Year!
