Two tough games of hockey this past weekend
The Pee Wee's were without their regular netminder, Zach Bowles as he was down and out sick. Tim Beuerman from the Atom LL got the call to help out.

Thursday night we welcomed Drayton to the rink.
We were first to get on the board 2 minutes into the first period. Ryerson Hargrave got one unassisted. Into the second we go with a slim 1-0 lead.
The second period was a productive one for Drayton as they would get 5 goals. Nolan McMillan helped our cause by scoring on an assist from Owen Smith. McMillan then assisted on a goal by Hunter Gilbert to end the second 5-3.
Drayton scored 2 more times in the third, their last goal being an empty netter with :48 left.
McMillan would get his second of the game, this time with Gilbert assisting to bring us to 4 goals.

Final score 7-4.

Sunday we travelled to Wingham. Beuerman was in net again for us.
The game was a close one - very evenly matched teams. Ryerson Hargrave was the first one again to score on an assist from Aleah Brown.
The second period was back and forth and Nolan McMillan would get our second one of the game. Wingham however scored 2 times in the second and 2 times in the third to make it a 4-2 final score.

Tim Beuerman stood his ground in net and did a great job in both games for the Pee Wee's. We hope Zack is on the mend and back in the net for this week.
We have Listowel coming to Monkton on Thursday night and then we travel to Mount Forest for 2:15 on Sunday.

Great team work kids!
