Great team effort for the Atom LL!
The Atom's welcomed BCH Ice Dogs #2 to Monkton on Saturday.

The Atom's are winding down their regular season play and looking forward to our playoffs!
BCH always proves to be a tough opponent. Tim Beuerman started in net for our squad. The first period was very even and lots of back and forth action. Central Perth was the first to get on the board with 2:19 left in the first. Cayden Hulley scored on a pass from Haiden Goetz and Hunter Gilbert.
Into the second we went with a small 1 goal lead. Cayden Hulley would come thru for us again on an unassisted goal. The 2 goal lead was short lived as BCH scored just 20 seconds later to come within 1. With 3:51 left in the second there was a melee in front of our net and Beuerman couldn't get the whistle from the ref to stop the play before the BCH player shoved the puck under him. All even at 2.
Our kids continued to work hard, passing and checking. Sawyer Voskamp saved the day for us with an unassisted goal early in the third to bring us ahead 3-2. That's where the game would end, a win for the home squad!
Beuerman had a complete game, same as Nicole Eby had done a week earlier vs. Mitchell.

Keep working hard !
The Atom's have another home game this weekend on Saturday vs. Blyth Brussels in Blyth at 11:30 am.
