A big day for the Atom's in Mount Forest!
The Atom LL squad travelled to Mount Forest to participate in a House League Tournament on Feb. 11th.

The first game was at 11 am vs. Drayton. Tim Beuerman started in net for our team. The first period was a good one with lots of back and forth action and Beuerman stopping all shots that came his way. However into the second period, after Drayton scored their first goal, our team seemed to come apart a little.  Final score ended up at 9-0. Cayden Hulley was player of the game for Central Perth.. This moved us into the 'B' division with our next game at 2pm vs Grand Valley.
After Coach Evan's pep talk after the first game, we were hoping the team we are used to seeing was going to show up for the match. And it turns out it did! We played a great game against Grand Valley Twisters and ended up with a 4-1 win. Nicole Eby played the whole game and was also awarded player of the game.
This win moved us onto the 'B' finals right away at 4 pm vs. West Grey Warriors. Beuerman started in net for this match. It was a tight game from the start again. Beuerman was on his game this time. We got the first goal of the game to go up 1-0. West Grey tied it up on a power play goal. In the second period we went ahead by 1 but that didn't last long as West Grey tied it up again. Aleah Brown came thru for us scoring a wrap around beauty to go ahead 3-2 in the second. We would get one more to make it a final score of 4-2! Player of this game was Aleah Brown.
Goals for the day came from Cayden Hulley, Hunter Gilbert, Haiden Goetz, Aleah Brown. The whole team came together after the first loss and played as we want to see them play!

Great job team!
We travel to Teeswater Monday night at 7pm to start our playoff run. Then Saturday we welcome BCH to Monkton for a 11 am game.
