Second game of 2017 is vs. a tough opponent
The Atom LL team had a game in Monkton on Sunday but it was Mitchell's home game.
It was a bit odd to sit in the visitor's bench in Monkton on Sunday when we faced Mitchell once again.
Mitchell was a tough opponent in December but we were hoping to come out on top if we could.
Nicole Eby started in net for Central Perth. The first period looked promising as Ryerson Hargrave just over a minute into the game scored a beauty goal to make it 1-0.
Mitchell came back 2 minutes later to tie it up. Both teams were back and forth and both offense and defense had to work hard. The first period ended at a 1-1 tie.
The second period saw Mitchell get 2 more goals to make it 3-1.
The third period saw Eby stay in net as she was doing a great job. Mitchell would get only 1 more goal for a final score of 4-1 Mitchell.
The kids need to get back to a routine of practice and games, the Christmas break put a wrench into things for us.
We will go back at it on Saturday with a home game in Monkton vs. BCH Ice Dogs 2. Let's hope we can get back on the winning track for 2017!
