Good effort over a 2 game stretch.
The Atom LL had two games over a 3 day stretch this past weekend.

Saturday, November 5th the Atom LL welcomed the Lucknow Sepoys to Monkton arena.  We were hopeful to get a winning streak going.
Nicole Eby started in net for our team.
The first period saw Lucknow strike first with a goal 3:15 minutes into the period. Ryerson Hargrave knew it wasn't too late with 14.6 seconds left in the period, he evened things up.
The second period saw our offense strengthen as well as our defence. Cayden Hulley scored on an assist from his linemates, Hayden Snow and Anden Pol. Three minutes later Ryerson Hargrave struck again with an unassisted goal. The second period ended with the home team up 3-1.
Tim Beuerman came into the net for the third period. Our defense had a hard time keeping up with Lucknow in the third. Lucknow scored 4 goals in 6 minutes to come ahead 5-3.  With 19 seconds left though Sawyer Voskamp brought us to within 1 on an unassisted goal. That's where it ended though, 5-4 for Lucknow.
A good game for all and a two goal game for Ryerson Hargrave!

On a rare Monday night game, we hosted Blyth-Brussels Crusaders in Milverton.  Beuerman was in net for the start of this one this time.
The first period was back and forth and fairly even. Crusaders scored first 2 minutes into the game. Then about 2 minutes later they netted another one. Our Atoms didn't get discouraged and we had two goals scored within 3 minutes. With 4:28 left, Gavin Falk fed the puck to Sawyer Voskamp for our first of two. Then 3 minutes after, Hayden Goetz scored on a pass from Aleah Brown and Hunter Gilbert. First period ended at a 2-2 tie.
The second period saw the Crusaders be the dominant team scoring 2 more past Beuerman. Second period ended at 4-2 for the visitors.
Beuerman handed the goaltending over to Nicole Eby for the third. We had hoped to come back in the third and we just couldn't come up with our best effort to finish off. Hunter Gilbert did score one more with assist by Hayden Snow and Aleah Brown.  The Crusaders found the net 3 times to bring the score to 7-3.

We will keep working and hope to come out with a win on Saturday at our Hockey Days game vs. Goderich Sailors at 11am in Milverton.
