Busy weekend of hockey before the holidays...
The Pee Wee LL had a 3 game weekend this past weekend.

Friday night, Mount Forest Rams came to Monkton. We had lost to Mount Forest the prior Sunday in a tournament so we were looking for redemption this time.
The first period saw our offense take off - 5 goals in the first period for us. Cayden Hulley had 2, Dylen Rastorfer , Darius Ladd and Ryerson Hargrave all chipped in for 1 a piece. Hulley, Horton-Shine, Rastorfer and Hargrave all contributed with assists as well.
The second period was just as busy for our offense. 7 goals this period . Owen Smith with 2, Ladd, Hargrave all put markers in the net with assists from Ladd, Smith and Hargrave.
The third period saw Tim Beuerman let 2 goals passed him to put Mount Forest on the board with 2. Ladd would add his 3rd of the game in the third period to end the scoring at 13-2.
Saturday we travelled to Goderich for a 4pm game vs. one of the top teams in the division right now. It was a busy time for Beuerman in net as Goderich would get 7 total by him. Our offense used up all our gas on Friday night as we couldn't find the back of the Goderich net. Final score 7-0.
Sunday would round out our weekend with a 5 pm game in Wingham. We were working with a short bench so we were hoping for the best in this one! Ladd would open our scoring in the first with an unassisted goal. Dylen Rastorfer scored with and assist from Horton-Shine. Ladd would get another to round out the first period 3-0.
The second period was a busy one for us as well with 5 goals being scored on Wingham. Rastorfer, Hulley, Goetz, Horton Shine and Ladd all helped the cause. Assists from Goetz, Hulley, S Gropp and Coulter.
We went into the third with a commanding 8-0 lead. Horton-Shine would get the last one assisted by Smith to make it a 9-0 win and a shut out for Beuerman.
A great effort from the team even with a short bench for 2 games of the weekend.

Just practice this Friday night in Monkton for our team.
Have a very Merry Christmas and stay safe!
