Two tough games over the weekend.
The Atom LL added their first 2 losses to the season over the weekend.
The Atom's rolled into Saturday's game vs. Ripley not having recorded a loss.
Ripley was the first to get on the board in the first as they got one by Bryce Brown. Three minutes later, Derek Gropp would get a pass from Dominic Ladd and even things up.
The second period saw Derek Gropp work with his linemate, Tim Beuerman and Beuerman netted a goal to put us up 2-1. But a minute later, Ripley would even it up and then also go ahead 3-2 to end the second.
Things got heated up in the third as we had so many chances that we couldn't produce a goal from. Ripley scored 2 more to go ahead by 3. But Gropp worked with Ladd and Beuerman again to get his second of the game.
With seconds left in the third, Beuerman got one past the Ripley netminder. Assisted by Bryer Hargrave and Hailey Mclean. Wasn't enough as we ended with a 5-4 loss.
Gropp and Beuerman each had 2 goals and an assist and Ladd had 2 assists in the game.
Sunday we travelled to Kincardine. This game didn't go so well as we ended up with a 12-0 loss.
Back at it this weekend with 2 games, one on Saturday in Monkton and Sunday in Milverton.
