Atom LL continues on the winning streak in playoffs!
Two games of hockey back to back produced wins.
The Atom squad had a rare Thursday night game in Monkton on the 15th. Drayton Defenders came to town.
This is the second game of our WOAA round robin playoffs.
Tim Beuerman was in net for the Preds this game. Both teams got on the board in the first period. Drayton would get 3 goals in the first period by Beuerman. Kaleb Horton Shine continues to be on a scoring streak as he netted 2 goals in the first period for us, ssisted by Derek Gropp on both.
We went into the second period behind 3-2. Horton Shine got his third of the game unassisted in the second period. We were still one behind as Drayton scored their 4th goal in the second period too.
In the third period, down by one just a few minutes into the third, Kaleb would get his 4th goal of the game to tie things up at 4 a piece!
Into 10 minutes of sudden death overtime we go. 3 minutes into the tension filled period, Haiden Goetz and Hailey Mclean connected with their centre Dominic Ladd and Ladd found the net for us! 5-4 overtime win.
The next night we travelled to Ripley for a 5:45pm game.
Ripley beat us back in November so we weren't sure what to expect.
Our squad was on their toes as we were able to score 4 goals in the first period, 4 in the second and 5 in the third.
Ripley would get 3 goals past Bryce Brown. Final score 13-3 for Central Perth.

This coming weekend we have a playoff game in Wingham on Friday, the 23rd at 6pm. Then regular practice time Sunday.
