Two solid games of hockey last week have the Atom LL group playing as a team!
Last week the Atom LL travelled to 2 away games.
Tuesday night was a 6pm game in Goderich.
Central Perth got on the board first halfway into the first period. Derek Gropp scored on an assist from Hailey McLean and Bryce Brown. The lead was short lived as Goderich scored about 2 minutes later. Tim Beuerman was in net for Central Perth and couldn't stop the puck on the breakaway shot.
That would be all the Goderich would get in this game as Central Perth went on to score once more in the first, Derek Gropp, assisted by Bryer Hargrave.
The second period saw one goal from Haiden Goetz, assisted by Kiyran Coulter.
The third period would see goals from Derek Gropp, assisted by Ben Sippel and Anden Pol, Haiden Goetz assisted by Bryer Hargrave and Ben Sippel, Anden Pol assisted by Hailey McLean.
Beuerman saw a multitude of shots but was able to stop all of them after the first one got by him.
Final score 6-1.
Saturday we travelled to Zurich. It was another great effort by all the team. Bryce Brown was in goal this time.
The first period saw 4 goals scored by us - Derek Gropp had a hat trick in the first period. Haiden Goetz added one as well. It was 4-0 for Central Perth going into the second period. Zurich would net 2 goals while we added 2 more.
The third period saw Zurich get 2 more to end at 4 total. We would get 4 more from Dominic Ladd (2), Tim Beuerman and Bryer Hargrave.
Final score 10-4 for Central Perth!
This week we travel to Blyth on Sunday for a 1pm start vs the Crusaders.
