Recap of a week's worth of games...
Sorry for the delay in getting game reports over the last week. Here's a rundown of what the Pee Wee LL has been up to.

The Pee Wee's travelled to Teeswater for a  tournament hosted by the South Bruce Blades on January 28th. Our first game was vs. Saugeen Shores at 10:40am. We were short a player due to the flu and had a couple others not feeling 100%. Our only goal of the game came in the first period from Nolan McMillan on a Noal Poole assist. Saugeen Shores would count for 6 goals in the game.
Unfortunately for us in this game there was a definite lack of control of the game from an official standpoint. Our squad took the higher road and played the game as we expect, with respect and sportsmanship. It didn't help us in the end from the scoring result but it does show that we represented our organization well.

Our second game came at 3:10 vs. Barrie. We were hoping the officiating in this game would improve. The first period saw Barrie get three goals. Our squad needed to get their legs back under them and in the second period we would get 2 goals, one from Brett Falk unassisted and one from Bradley Jantzi assisted by Jamie Donnelly. We went into the third period trailing by 1, 3-2.
Barrie would add 2 more goals to make it a final 5-2 score. This ended our day in Teeswater. Again, the officiating left a lot to be desired in this game. But once again our kids took the right path and played with the respect.
It's a hard lesson to swallow for the kids that when you don't play fair you still end up winning the game.
All the players did a great job and Reid Baillie and Brett Falk each got a player of the game award. Well deserved!

We travelled to Seaforth the next day for a game vs. the Stars. Seaforth has a great skating team and their goal made a number of amazing saves. It wasn't our day and we ended up getting only one goal in this one from Hunter Gilbert. Final score 8-1.

Our last regular season game was vs. Blyth Brussels Crusaders on February 4th in Brussels. The game was a challenge for us as the other team outsized us again the officiating wasn't on our side or making fair calls.  We managed to get three goals in the game but it wasn't enough to get past the 5 the Crusaders scored. Final score 5-3.

We wait now until the playoff schedule is made Tuesday night.
