The Pee Wee's welcomed South Bruce to PERC on Sunday.
The Pee Wee's were going to get a sneak peek to one of the teams they'll be up against on the 28th of January when we travel to South Bruce for a tournament.
From the start it was evident the teams were evenly matched. The puck was back and forth from the drop of the puck. Our squad had 2 players brought up to help out from the Atom LL, Ryerson Hargrave and Hunter Gilbert.
South Bruce would get on the board first with a goal. But their lead was short lived as 10 seconds later, Nolan McMillan shot to the net and Hunter Gilbert was where he needed to be for the rebound as he tapped it by the goalie. We would come out of the first period, tied at 1 each.
Our team continued to work hard throughout the second period. The hard work paid off with 7:09 left, Matthew Leach and Brett Falk worked the net to get the puck to Dawson Reimer. Reimer was able to shot the puck into the open side. We ended the second up 2-1.
There was no time to let up though. 1 minute into the third and Brett Falk scored an unassisted goal. We waited on baited breath for the time to tick down to maintain our lead. With 2 minutes left, South Bruce did get another goal to come within 1. But we were able to kill off the last 2 minutes and end up with a final score of 3-2.

We have a practice on Saturday and then welcome Listowel Cyclones on Sunday to PERC for a 4:30pm start.
