First game of 2017 is a road trip to Clinton

Our first game of 2017 saw us on the road to Clinton.

The weather co-operated and the game was on.
The team has had a big break over the Christmas holidays due to practice being cancelled and a game cancelled due to weather last week. The squad needed to find their groove again.
The first period started off with the drop of the puck and the Clinton forward bringing the puck all the way into our end and with one shot they were up 1-0 9 seconds into the game. Central Perth got their legs under them and fended off any further offensive action in the first period.
The second period saw Sheldon Leis go unassisted for our first goal to tie things up a 1 a piece. The team continued to struggle through plays but we ended the second still tied.
The third period went even with 2:40 left, Noah Poole fed the puck forward to Bradley Jantzi who scored a beauty to go ahead 2-1. Our lead was short lived as Clinton scored to tie it up with 1:40 left. That's were it would end, tied 2-2.
Be prepared for lots of skating on Saturday at practice kids!

We have a home game on Sunday at PERC - 5 pm start. It's Central Perth Minor Hockey Day with a Mitchell Hawks game at 1 pm. Central Perth teams get in for free to the game.

Happy New Year!
