Tough game vs. Howick Hornets on Sunday
The Pee Wee's welcomed Howick Hornet to PERC on Sunday for our last game before the holidays.
Our team would be tested as we were missing Brett Falk and Reid Baillie at this game. Sheldon Leis strapped on the pads to fill the job of goalie for us.
The first period was a quick one, no penalties at all! No scoring either and we went into the second looking for a lead.
Howick would get on the board with 3:11 left in the second. It was a tough one for Sheldon to handle and it got passed him. The second period ended 1-0 for the visitors.
Into the third and the game was an even one between offense and defense. With 3 minutes left, Sheldon had a high shot come towards him it went over his shoulder in for the second goal against us. The game ended at 2-0 for Howick.
Sheldon did an amazing job in net and helped our team out immensely. All the team worked hard and pulled together with a shorter bench than normal.
We have a break from games until after Christmas. Practise is on December 31st as usual.
