Game 6 - The
comeback kids make a return!
Saturday morning the CMPHA atom LL took the ice at the PERC to face off against Blyth-Brussels Crussaders Black. Once again the team puts on a good show for the fans, waiting until the third period to come alive.
Heading into the third period the team found themselves down 2-1, after Sawyer Voskamps game starter goal, with the assist to Ryerson Hargrave.
Then the clock showing 15 minutes for the third period starts. Voskamp continues to fight back getting his second goal at 12:02. Hargrave again at his side for the assist. The game is now tied.
The defensive players, Hunter Gilbert, Matthew Leach, Noal Kirkham, Avyn Duncan and Ethan Neubrand, stand at their posts, trying their best to help out goalie Zach Bowles gain the family bragging rights, and it paid off.
At 7:40, Reid Douglas comes through with the game winning goal, assist to Nolan McMillian. 25 seconds later Tistan Leis ends the game with the fourth goal, with the help of Hargrave and Voskamp.
Our weekend of hockey may not have started off great Friday night, but we finished strong and with our heads held high!
The team takes the ice next Friday, as they head to Goderich to face off against the Sailors 2!
