Atom Reps couldn't get past the Stars
In a second matchup with the Seaforth Stars, our Atom reps couldn't come out with a win.
A Sunday afternoon game had the Atoms travelling to Seaforth. The first period was even and ended with at 0-0. That was great for the Atoms to be able to keep up with the fast skating Seaforth team.
The second period went in Seaforth's favour. They got on the board 3 times and ended the second period 3-0.
We went into the third period with tired legs and couldn't find our groove. Seaforth scored 3 more times, all within about 2 mins of each other.
With 2:59 left in the third, Cohen Smith netted our only goal on an assist from defenceman, Noah Poole. This game also saw a few more penalty minutes than we are used to: 10 mins for Seaforth and 8 mins for Central Perth.
We travel to Arthur Thursday night for the first of two against the Vipers in our playoff rounds. We have been victorious against them in the past so here's hoping we can bring all our efforts and come out on top. It's a 7 pm game in Arthur.
