Good effort on a single game weekend...
The Atom Reps had just one game this weekend. Saturday the
team travelled to Brussels to meet the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders.
The home team opened up the scoring in the first with two goals. We started the second period down 2-0 but we didn’t give up. Callum Hallahan got us on the board on an assist from Kyle Steckley. The Crusaders notched one more before the second period had ended.
We started the third period down 3-1. The home team had one more goal to make it 4-1. Kyle Steckley netted an unassisted goal with 12:14 remaining. Noah Poole scored on an assist from Logan Dallner to bring us within 1.
There wasn’t enough time to tie it up so the game ended 4-3 for the Crusaders. The team is improving and working hard. Reid Baillie is stellar in net!
The team has a three game weekend coming up. Friday night the Crusaders come to Monkton for a 7 pm start. Saturday morning, bright and early, Mount Forest comes to Milverton for 9am start. Sunday, we travel back to Mount Forest for another matchup at 1pm. Lots of hockey!
The Christmas break comes and we don’t have any games over the holidays. We are participating in a tournament in Minto January 2, 2016.
