U11 GIRLS, 2022-2023 (Central Perth Minor Hockey)

A strong Woodstock team came to Milverton and gave the girls their hardest game of the year, skating hard and winning battles all over the ice to hand the girls a 4-1 defeat.  The girls played with them for most of the game but could not create enough chances to get close.  Madelynn K played a good game up front battling for pucks through center ice and along the boards.  Jessica M played strong on defense battling the Wildcat players to the outside and keeping them from getting good scoring opportunities.

The girls travelled to Kitchener Saturday Dec 10 with a good effort and some strong defensive play held on for a 1-0 win.  Grace H made some key stops, after an interesting arrival, to secure the shutout.  Aubrey B played a strong defensive game checking hard at our blueline and keeping the Rangers out of our end.  She also contributed the only goal of the game on a blast from the point.

Game#1 The girls came out flying with the excitement level high.  They attacked the puck in all areas of the ice coming away with a 6-1 win over a hard working Wingham/Lucknow team. Gracie M played up and down her wing getting in the corner and scoring a big goal for the team. 

After a slow start Sunday morning, the U11 girls came out strong in the second period to create many scoring chances on the forecheck.  The defense was stingy limiting Stratford's chances with strong pressure on the puck to help come away with a victory. Aubrey B played a strong defensive game, clearing the puck from our zone and rushing up the ice creating chances to score.  Daphne T was in good position in both ends of the ice covering the defense in our end and getting in front of the Stratford net for a rebound  and scoring chance.

The U11 girls came ready to play Thursday, as they attacked the puck in the offensive and defensive ends limiting the St Marys Rock chances to score and earning Grace H a shutout.  Emma C played a well positioned game, covering the defense in our end and getting in front of the Rock net on offense.  Hannah G was strong going after the puck in the offensive zone and creating some opportunities to score.
