The Central Perth Novice Reps capture the Silver Medal at the Shallow Lake Lakers tournament this past weekend (Jan 5-6 2019)

First game was played on Saturday morning against the very tough Cayuga Star's team. With a quick start to the game saw the Predators team going into the third with a 3-1 lead but Cayuga kept strong and battled back to tie the game with 10 seconds left in the game (3-3 final)
The second game put the Predators up against the host team Shallow Lake Lakers. Another very tough opponent but the team stayed strong and kept to there game to win 10-6.
The third game was played on Sunday against the Plattsville Rage. The Predators needed the win to go on to the final and needed to win every period to claim the top spot in the tournament. The Predators did just that and cruised to a 10-0 win and claim top spot and the home advantage for the final game.
The final game was played just one game later and proved to be a very difficult one against the very tough Mount Forest team. Looking like the Predators had run out of gas in the first period put them down 5-1. The team rallied one more time to try and pull even with less then a minute on the clock but just couldn't get the goal to tie the game. The final was 9-8 for Mount Forest.
We might not have won the gold but this team played its hearts out and should be very proud of what they accomplished this past weekend with the Silver Medal.
