Girls Hockey (Central Perth Minor Hockey)

WELCOME TO CENTRAL PERTH PREDATORS GIRLS HOCKEY

Here at Central Perth, we believe that all girls should get the opportunity to play the game of hockey at a skill level that best suits them. This promotes a fun, successful season, all while growing their skill level and making lifelong friendships. With this in mind, we are happy to announce that Central Perth will be hosting ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘HL’ Spring Tryouts for the 2024/2025 season. Our goal is to ice teams for all ages U9 - U22.

U5 - U9 (2017 – 2020):
This is an invite to girls in this age group to come experience girls’ hockey! These skates are not tryouts but simply an opportunity to come out for a skate and see what girls hockey is all about. NOTE: Each girl MUST have full equipment and sign a waiver before stepping on the ice. Waivers will be available online and at the arena day of.

U11 - U18 (2007 – 2015):
Each division, from U11 - U18, has been allotted 3 skates over 2 weeks with the following intention in mind.

-Each division's team will be categorized as a ‘B’ team and players will be evaluated as such.

-Depending on numbers, we will ice multiple teams. The aim will be to have the girls in the appropriate categories to achieve optimal success.

-Our ‘B’ teams will be entered into an evaluation type tournament before the regular season begins to determine if we are, or will be, competitive at that level. Tournament results will determine if the team(s) need to be re-categorized before the season begins.

U22 (2003 – 2006):
There will be no tryouts for this division during the spring. Skates will start in September, tryouts will depend on numbers. However, please pre-register to save your spot.

Where are tryouts being held?
All tryouts/skates are being held at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel, ON.

Does my child(s) have to be at every skate?
Although we would love to see them out at all 4 skates, we know that life happens. If your child(s) will NOT be able to make all skates please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure they’ve been evaluated appropriately.

Is there a tryout fee?
All tryouts/skates are FREE! However, Central Perth Minor Hockey registration will be open and we encourage everyone to sign up early.

All players who commit to the ‘B’ team will be asked to pay half their registration upon confirming their spot with the team.

Where will practices / home games be during the season?
All Central Perth ice times for practices and home games are split between Elma-Logan Recreation Complex in Monkton and the Perth East Recreation Complex in Milverton.

How do I register for tryouts?

My daughter currently plays for an association outside of Central Perth, can she try out?
Absolutely! Players who currently are registered with any hockey association that is NOT Central Perth Minor Hockey, MUST have a signed “Permission to Tryout” that they bring with them to the tryouts.
