Pink on the Rink U11C Finalists
Game#1 The girls came out flying with the excitement level high.  They attacked the puck in all areas of the ice coming away with a 6-1 win over a hard working Wingham/Lucknow team. Gracie M played up and down her wing getting in the corner and scoring a big goal for the team.

Game#2  The team came out hungry, again attacking the puck all over the ice, not allowing the South Huron team any space to move and limited their chances to score, resulting in a shutout victory.  Jessica M played a strong defensive game at both bluelines, keeping the puck in the SH zone and keeping them from getting chances on our goal.  Game #3 in the Bayfield arena, the girls started out playing hard in both ends of the ice eventually cracking a strong Stratford goaltender to take the lead and hold on for a shutout for Grace H.  Emsley S played a strong game down the centre winning faceoffs and backchecking hard to help preserve the shutout.
Game #4 the girls came out a little slow, with emotions high and a must win they pulled together in the last half of the game to over come the slow start and prevail 5-2.  Lyla C had a great game attacking the puck on offense to tally a hat trick and help lead the team to victory.  Sunday brought a Semi final game against Upper Maitland Mustangs, the girls came out strong winning puck battles in both ends of the ice to earn a 3-0 lead.  However, the Mustangs would not go away easy and scored 3 unanswered goals in the final 2 minutes to tie the score and send it to 3 on 3 overtime.  Finally, with some puck control and a break Lyla C setup Payten D to score the game winner and a trip to the Finals.  The final game against the Owen Sound Icehawks was filled with back and forth action with both teams battling hard and getting chances to score but were turned away by good defense and solid goaltending.  The Icehawks were able to  score a late, shorthanded goal and held on for the victory, after a valiant effort to tie it up by the girls.  The team reallly came together over the 6 games showing great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the road to the finals.
