The Season Opener was looking promising with the Preds building a 3-1 lead at the end of the first period on goals by Steckly, Yantzi and Leis. The teams swapped goals in the second period with Reimer scoring on a backhand shot after a nice pass from Leis. The Preds ran into penalty problems and gave up a 5 on 3 goal late in the second to go into the break 4-3. In the third period, Zurich’s captain, Chase McGregor scores twice to earn a hat trick and earn the victory for the visitors. A good game overall by both sides. Notable that Chris Klassen chalked up two assists playing his first ever game. Congratulations Chris!
