Close game vs. Blyth Brussels
The Pee Wee LL had a close game vs. Blyth Brussels on Saturday.
We travelled to Brussels for a 12pm game on Saturday.
Neither team could come up with a goal in the first period, not for lack of trying for both teams. Tim Beuerman kept the score a 0 for us, doing a great job in net.
The second period saw our offense get their game going. Darius Ladd opened up the scoring 1:15 into the second, unassisted. One minute later, Ladd would score another, this time assisted by Cayden Hulley. With 3:56 left, Derek Gropp got our third of the game, unassisted. Then with 2:40 left Hulley scored an unassisted goal to end the second at 4-0 lead.
Not sure what happened to our team for the third period, our offense was stalled as well as our defensive game. Blyth Brussels scored 4 times in third to tie things up.
There was a lack of calls made for penalties but the team persevered through and the game ended at a 4-4 tie.
Our next game is Saturday at 5pm vs. Drayton as part of Central Perth Minor Hockey Weekend.
