Predators drop game 1 to Drayton
Drayton doubles up on CP
Your Midget Reps opened up round 2 of their OMHA playoffs against Drayton Friday night at the PERC.
LeBlanc took off on a breakaway and scored the opening goal just 19 seconds in to the game. Before we had even played 2 minutes, Quipp found the mesh assisted by LeBlanc. Drayton wouldn't go away and kept chipping away, and tied the frame up at 2 all.
The second started out all Drayton, scoring 3 goals in the first 6 minutes of the period. Your Midget Reps didn't quit, and McCourt would nab one assisted by Quipp. Drayton would answer again, and with about a minute left in the period Gilbert would finish a solo effort off. We'd go into the flood down 6-4.
The boys were unable to solve Drayton in the third, and Drayton would add two more markers to end the game 8-4 for Drayton.
Next up the boys head to Mount Forest tonight (Sunday) for their first WOAA playoff game, and then are back at it in Drayton Tuesday night for game 2 of the OMHA series.
